✨ The Light Party at Mountsorrel Baptist Church ✨A brighter way to celebrate!

Join us for a fun-filled evening of light, laughter, food and friendship at Mountsorrel Baptist Church!

We're inviting local families with children to come together for a special FREE Christian Light Party on Saturday 31 October 2026.

It's a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Jesus, the Light of the World, through an evening filled with colourful lights, fun activities, delicious food and friendship. Together, we'll celebrate the Christian message of light, hope, love and kindness in a warm, welcoming environment.

Everyone is welcome! Although this is a Christian celebration, you don't need to be Christian or attend church to join us. We warmly welcome families of all faiths and beliefs, including those with no religious beliefs, who would like to join us and share in the celebration. We simply ask everyone to respect the Christian nature of the event and one another.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Who can come?

Our Light Party is primarily designed for children aged 3–10 years, with activities particularly suitable for younger children. Younger siblings are welcome too!

Children must attend with a parent, carer or responsible adult aged 18 or over, who must remain with them and supervise them throughout the event.

This is a family event, not a drop-off session. Adult tickets are intended for those accompanying children, rather than adults attending independently.

Whether you're part of our church community, attend another church, follow a different faith or have no religious beliefs, we'd love for you and your family to join us.

🍽️ Food and dietary requirements

Food and refreshments will be provided free of charge.

When booking, please let us know about any food allergies, intolerances or other dietary requirements for members of your family. We'll do our best to accommodate these wherever possible.

🎟️ Booking is essential

Places are limited, so please reserve your free tickets in advance.

Every adult and child attending needs their own ticket. This helps us manage attendance and make sure there's enough food, activities and goody bags for everyone.

Please book tickets for all members of your family attending and provide the requested information during registration.

If tickets sell out, you can join our waiting list.

❤️ Optional donations

Our Light Party is completely free, and there is no expectation to contribute financially.

However, if you would like to support the event and future community activities organised by Mountsorrel Baptist Church, voluntary donations will be warmly appreciated.

🤝 A safe and welcoming celebration

We want everyone to have a wonderful time in a friendly, safe and respectful environment.

Please supervise your children, respect other guests and volunteers, and follow any instructions provided by the organisers.

We look forward to welcoming you and your family for a wonderful evening of light, joy and togetherness!

Come along, celebrate with us and let your light shine! ✨
