The Medieval History Tour begins at the King Richard III Visitor Centre in Leicester on 19 October 2026. Led by a guide named Elizabeth, the theatrical walk through 15th-century life covers historical sites in Leicester for £14.50.
Plunge into the 15th Century and learn how your ancestors survived. A theatrical, immersive tour of Leicester, led by your Guide, Elizabeth.
This isn’t your usual history tour. This is dragging you back into 15th century life, kicking and screaming. Learn if you could really survive medieval life, pick your weapon, create your survival strategy and have your knowledge tested as you visit some of the most historical sites in Leicester.
This isn’t just your usual walk around. This is facing the reality of your ancestors and reliving some of the most poignant moments in one of the bloodiest periods of history.
Meet us outside the King Richard III Visitor Centre, as we begin our journey back into the past, covering the Wars of the Roses, the discovery of Richard III, to the everyday realities of the different class systems in Medieval life. We will take you across some of the oldest buildings and structures in Leicester, Leicester Guildhall, Jewry Wall, the River Soar, St Nicholas Church, and return back to the Richard III Centre.
What do I get for my ticket?
1.5 Hours of Immersive Storytelling: We don't do boring around here. This is getting down to the nitty gritty, unapologetic, high energy and dripping in dark humour, led by experienced and professional Medieval Battlefield Guides, Katie and Elizabeth (who are also absolutely gorgeous).
5 Historical Sites: We're taking you to the places where people from all walks of life would have lived, worked, loved, and in a few particular places- died. You'll be standing in some of the places where legends were born and Kings marched towards battle.
2 Professional Battlefield Guides: Double the experience, double the gorgeous, and double your personal bodyguards and agony aunts. Consider us your personal 15th-century Messiahs for the evening.
The Inner Circle Pass: VIP discounts on all future Truth & Tale tours and early access to secret seasonal getaways.
