Experimental Artist Sound and Performance Art Event in Leicester City Centre Two Queens Presents:Dale Holmes as Tired Depressed Ghost & Heart Throb (Courtney Askey) An evening of experimental Artist Sound and Performance Tired Depressed Ghost is a noise maker and arranger of things conjured by artist Dale Holmes. Each appearance has been unpredictable, improvised and experimental. Often there is an iPad and amp, a microphone now and again. Meat slaps, blast beats, bells, shouting, piles of clothes, stones, dog barks, worms, cans of lager, medieval mystics and rubbish tips have all featured in recent visitations. Heart Throb is a project performed by Courtney Askey, a Leicester based multi disciplinary artist and musician. Composed of sonic arrangements generated from the artists own ECG's. Heart Throb follows on from the artist's wider research into the connection between the body and labour. Timings (subject to Change) 7pm: Doors and Bar Open 7:30 - Heart Throb (20 min set) 7:50 - Intermission 8:10 - Tired Depressed Ghost (20 min set) 8:30-9:30 - Bar open – Accessibility Two Queens gallery space has step-free access. A Gender Neutral toilet is available for visitors to use, the toilet is accessed via a low step. Nearest Accessible toilets and changing spaces are located at Curve and Phoenix, less than 5 minutes away. – Getting here Train: Queen street is five minutes walk from Leicester city centre and Leicester train station, which is 30 minutes journey from Nottingham, 50 minutes from Birmingham New Street and just over 1hr away from London St Pancras. Car: Pay and display on street car-parking is available on both Queen Street and Southampton Street, and is free after 6pm. Nearest pay and display car parks are next to Phoenix on Midland Street and the NCP on Rutland Street. Bus: Nearest bus stops are on Charles Street and Humberstone Gate, a 5 minute walk away.
