Have you ever wondered how someone becomes a confident public speaker?

Join Limerick Toastmasters for an engaging and inspiring evening as three well-known local speakers share their personal public speaking journeys. Discover how they first stepped onto the stage, the lessons they learned along the way, the fears and challenges they overcame, and the practical tips that helped them develop their confidence and communication skills.

Meet our speakers:

John Finnerty

Communications Coach | Former Frontline Garda | Member, Limerick Toastmasters

Karen Ronan

CEO, Galway Chamber | President, Network Ireland | TEDx Speaker

Professor Stephen Kinsella

Full Professor of Economics at the University of Limerick | Economic Advisor to An Tánaiste

Each brings a unique perspective on communication, confidence, and leadership. Their stories will offer insights and inspiration for anyone looking to develop their own public speaking skills.

Whether you are an experienced speaker, a nervous beginner, or simply curious about public speaking, this event offers valuable insights, encouragement, and inspiration.

You'll also have the opportunity to learn more about the various Toastmasters clubs across the area and how Toastmasters supports people in developing communication and leadership skills.

The evening will follow the format of a Toastmasters meeting, giving attendees a taste of what membership is like. Audience members will even have the chance to take part in a fun impromptu speaking session and test their own speaking skills in a supportive environment.

A short refreshment break will take place during the event, with tea and coffee provided.
