Explore some of the lesser-known trails of the western Galtee Mountains on this challenging guided walk as part of the 30th Ballyhoura Walking Festival.

Led by the Ballyhoura Bears Walking Club, this strenuous mountain walk takes in Teampuillin and the western edge of the Galtees, covering approximately 18–20 km over 6–7 hours.

This is a very strenuous mountain walk and participants should have a good level of fitness and be experienced and comfortable walking for a full day over mountain terrain.

Transport by bus will be provided for the return to Kilbehenny Community Centre.

Return: By bus to Kilbehenny Community Centre

Starting time: 10:30 am

Length/Duration: approx. 18-20km | 6-7 hours

Difficulty: Very Strenuous

What to bring: Appropriate outdoor walking footwear and clothing are recommended. Please dress for the weather conditions on the day.
