LCVS is hosting a professional skills course on Better Bid Writing & Identifying Funders on 16 November 2026. The session starts at 13:00 and is designed for those new to funding applications. The cost of the course ranges from £65.00 to £95.00.
This is a bid writing session for anyone new to funding applications or who would like to improve the quality of their bid writing.

This session is for anyone who is either new to writing funding applications or who would like to improve the quality of their bid writing. It is designed to provide you with a range of tips, resources and tools to find the funding you need.
The session covers:
Building a case for support – Identifying what need your organisation addresses, why it’s important and how you meet that need.
Considering some of the ways in which you can involve the people and communities you work with in identifying/addressing that need.
Developing a SMART bid narrative that includes outcomes, outputs and impact.
Identifying how to build monitoring and evaluation into your proposal.
Discussing ways to maximise the sustainability and legacy of your proposal.

This course is aimed at individuals who are looking to identify funders and to develop the skills required to write well-structured and persuasive funding bids for the people, places and causes that they are passionate about.
Pricing:
£65 charity/voluntary sector
£95 private/public sector
The above prices include refreshments and training materials where applicable.

LCVS requires that attendees complete the booking form to the fullest extent to allow us to deliver the session effectively. We ask that you confirm all details before submitting your order.
As we have a waiting list, if you cannot attend, please cancel/refund your ticket or email info@lcvs.org.uk
Repeat non-attendance will result in not being permitted to book on to future LCVS events and training
We offer event/ticket transfer right up until the day of the event. To transfer to another Event or Ticket, please contact LCVS at info@lcvs.org.uk
