Get spooky at this month’s zine club at Black Cat Smithdown Rd!

Happy HalloZiiiiine! ✂️🎃

Join us at Black Cat Bar, Coffee & Bottle Shop on Smithdown Road for the next Black Cat Zine Club — this month, we're getting SPOOKY with HalloZine!

We'll be making haunted house concertina zines and creating our very own tarot cards, all with a little spooky, wholesome Halloween party vibe. 🕯️

Whether you want to...

🖤 Create a creepy concertina zine featuring your dream (or nightmare) haunted houses

🖤 Design your own tarot cards, complete with mysterious characters and magical meanings

🖤 Fill your zine with ghosts, witches, black cats, folklore or all things Halloween

🖤 Get creative with spooky illustrations, cut-and-paste collage, strange stories or dream pumpkin carving designs!

🖤 Or make something completely unique and wonderfully weird!

I'll be bringing along plenty of ideas to get you started, but there are no rules — your creations can be spooky, silly, wholesome, witchy or wonderfully chaotic. All materials will be provided, so just bring yourself and your imagination.

Fancy dress is optional, so feel free to come in costume if that's your thing!

This month's club is also a little celebration, marking one year since Black Cat Zine Club was first announced. It's a chance to get creative, celebrate what we've built together, and enjoy a cosy, spooky Halloween get-together with lovely people.

Tickets are FREE, though a small donation towards supplies is always gratefully appreciated. Black Cat Zine Club is funded by your host, Laura, who wants to keep building a kind, creative and safe community where everyone feels welcome.

No zine-making experience is needed — just come along, get crafty and embrace the HalloZine magic! 🎃

As always, Black Cat Zine Club is a welcoming and inclusive space where everyone is encouraged to make, experiment and get creative at their own pace. Please bring your wallet to buy a drink or two at the bar.

There are a few steps up to the poster room where we'll be meeting. If you have any access requirements or questions, please email blackcatzineclub@gmail.com
