About This Event

This citizen science session takes place at Rimrose Valley Country Park in Liverpool. Participants will identify and record species such as dragonflies and damselflies using iNaturalist. The event is free to attend.

Nature for HEART is a series of events and activities designed to get more and more people active on Rimrose Valley, connecting with each other and the park’s nature.

Coordination of this project has been funded by the National Lottery’s Awards for All programme and the PH Holt Foundation.

Join Barry for a 2-hour guided walk and ID session covering damselflies, dragonflies and other wildlife to be found along the Rimrose Valley stretch of the Leeds-Liverpool canal.

PLEASE NOTE: This walk is weather dependent.

This is a great opportunity to explore more of our beautiful park, its amazing species of wildlife, to learn a new skill and to help nature, together.

If you have any mobility issues, please contact us in advance.

Children are welcome to join, but must be accompanied by an adult. There is no need to book a place for a child

We want this to be open to as many people as possible, so we have limited the amount of places you can reserve to 2. Please only book the number of places you need and if you are unable to attend, please cancel your booking so your place can be allocated to someone else. Let us know if you need help with this

Please ensure that you arrive in plenty of time. The walk will begin at midday prompt

Come prepared for the weather and dress accordingly

As ever, we encourage everyone to come on foot or to use public transport wherever possible. If you have to come by car, there is limited parking nearby, so please park responsibly
