About This Event

The Entrepreneurs Festival will feature a session on writing effective cold emails on 5 November 2026 at Barclays Eagle Lab Liverpool. Participants will learn strategies to improve email outreach, aiming for higher open and response rates. The session is designed for founders and business professionals seeking to enhance their communication skills.

How many hours have you wasted sending cold emails that are ignored? Learn how to write outreach that gets opened, read and replied to.

About this event

How much time do you spend sending emails that never get answered?

You know who you want to write. You're polite and enthusiastic. You hit send. And then...crickets.

For most founders and business people, cold email feels like shouting into the void. But the problem is rarely your product or your idea — it's the first few seconds.

In this practical, fun, high-energy session in collaboration with Barclays Eagle Labs, Amanda Graham shows you the framework behind the results she gets: cold B2B emails that open at 68% even with low-intent contacts, and personal emails at just over 90%. You'll leave with that framework, ready to apply to your own emails — whatever you sell, and whoever you're writing to.

Amanda learned her craft in film and television and marketing, where every word has to earn its place. She now works with founders and business leaders on pitching, outreach and brand storytelling. Her sessions are known for being fun, fast-moving and packed with tools and insight you can use the same day.

Hosted in the welcoming surroundings of Avenue HQ, home of Barclays Eagle Labs, this session is part of the Entrepreneurs Festival 2026.

What you'll learn

Why most cold emails are deleted in three seconds — and the structure that survives

How to write a subject line and opening line that earn the next sentence

The "bridge before the ask" principle — the step most people skip, and the reason most emails feel like a pitch before trust exists

How to find the right person and the right angle for the ask

How to draft your own emails from a clear structure, rather than copy a one-size-fits-all script

This will be an interactive session with time for questions. You'll leave with a one-page framework you can use the same day.

No live hot-seating — no one's put on the spot.

"So accessible that I recently sent an email to a producer using your structure and I got a response in 15 minutes, it was wild!"

“Her tips are easily actionable and grounded in her extensive experience. I really look forward to working with her again and can’t recommend her enough.”

"I did not speak to a single mentee that was not blown away by your presentation.”

“She helped me write better content in my emails and advised me how to connect with people I really want to work with. So far I have had a response from a company I've been reaching out to for a couple of months with no reply and this was within 48 hours! Can't recommend her enough!”

"Amanda uses real life examples and straight talk…on what is needed to succeed.”

We look forward to welcoming you.
