Ghost Hunt at the Historic Coffee House Wavertree

Join DeadLive for a professionally hosted paranormal investigation inside one of Liverpool’s oldest and most atmospheric pubs. Explore the upper floors after dark using established investigation methods and specialist equipment.

Advance booking is advised.

Why the Historic Coffee House?

First licensed in 1777 under Elizabeth Heys, the Historic Coffee House has been part of Wavertree life for more than 250 years. Its Assembly Room hosted gatherings, travellers stopped outside and generations of licensees shaped its story. The original sandstone foundations and historic upper rooms create a remarkable setting for a night of investigation.

Reported activity and local stories

Guests have reported unusual sounds, unexplained movement, cold spots and changing energy in the building. These accounts form part of the venue’s history, although paranormal activity can never be guaranteed.

What to expect

The investigation takes place on the upper floors and involves two staircases. DeadLive provides paranormal equipment, guided vigils, structured sessions, a historical briefing and refreshments. Free on-street parking is available nearby, subject to local restrictions.

Ticket information

General admission is £25 per person.

Your ticket includes the professionally hosted ghost hunt, use of paranormal equipment, historical information, guided investigation sessions and tea and coffee throughout the night.

Important access information

The investigation takes place on the top floor and guests must be able to climb two staircases. The event is therefore unsuitable for anyone who cannot safely use the stairs. Please also ensure you can remain at the venue until the scheduled finishing time.
