Spoken word artist Joshua Idehen brings his album *I Know You’re Hurting, Everyone Is Hurting, Everyone Is Trying, You Have Got To Try* to Arts Club in Liverpool on Thursday 12 November 2026 at 7pm. Crafted alongside musician Ludvig Parment, the record carves out a sonic and poetic space that acknowledges the weight of a turbulent world without offering false comfort. Idehen’s performance blends an urgent, conversational delivery with atmospheric instrumentation, forging a live experience that feels both intimate and expansive. The evening draws on the album’s tension between weariness and persistence, carried by Parment’s sparse, evocative production. This is not an escape but a holding of the room, a shared recognition that trying is itself a form of resistance. Tickets are available via the venue’s website.
