Further information about Knowsley: Live & Loud:

What makes the event unique is that the entire live production will be delivered by young people. Throughout the day, students will work alongside professional engineers from Adlib to build the show's sound and lighting systems, gaining hands-on experience of what it takes to deliver a professional live event. Supported by industry experts, the students will then take responsibility for running the show on the night.

Presented through This Place, This Stage, the three-year creative programme that places children and young people at the heart of Knowsley's cultural future, the event has been designed to inspire young people to discover careers across the creative and cultural industries. The programme is delivered through a partnership including Adlib, Heart of Glass, Kirkby Gallery, Knowsley Council, Make CIC and Shakespeare North Playhouse, with support from Arts Council England.

The event forms part of Knowsley Music Festival and celebrates the creativity, ambition and potential of young people across the borough. By placing students at the heart of both the performance and production elements of the show, Knowsley: Live & Loud demonstrates how practical industry experience can inspire future careers and ensure the next generation of live event professionals is already beginning to emerge in Knowsley.
