The **October 2026** Liverpool Laid-Back Writers Meeting will be on **Sunday 18th October** at **12 noon** to **3pm.** Afterwards, anyone interested can stay on for further drinks and a chat. This event will be held in the downstairs area in Kabin at Kabannas on Mathew St in the Cavern quarter. The Kabin are not serving food at the moment so you are ree to bring a packed lunch. Submissions of up to 1500 words are invited. Either a bespoke story or an excerpt of your current work. **I'd suggest posting a comment in the event chat with a view-only Google documents link ([docs.google.com](http://docs.google.com/)) and sharing set to 'anyone with the link',** so that I can post a message notifying the links to the attendees to read by **Sunday 11h October.** Anyone needing a theme can try the following prompts. Character: A cheerful ghost Genre: spooky Topic: Halloween **Please do bring** **£2,** to help us cover meetup fees. As ever, please do RSVP if you intend to come, and un-RSVP in good time if you later realise that that you can't make it. Thanks! Lou
