About This Event

The North West Eco Church celebrates its 10th anniversary with a special ecumenical service held at Christ Church Toxteth Park in Liverpool. This community event features various performers and takes place on 3 October 2026 starting at 12:00. The church invites attendees to join the celebration of a decade of eco-friendly faith and practice.

Join us for a special ecumenical service and event to celebrate 10 years of Eco Church.

We are delighted to invite you to Christ Church Toxteth Park in Liverpool on Saturday 3 October 2026 for the North West 10 year anniversary Eco Church celebration. The service will begin at 1pm, followed by a panel discussion. Light refreshments will be available, as well as an opportunity to meet, chat, share stories and visit the stalls.

Everyone is welcome! Come for all or part of the afternoon - it’s free, but please book to help us with numbers for catering.

This anniversary service will be a joyful time of praise and thanksgiving, as we remember God’s goodness and all that has been achieved over the last 10 years. Do join us as we gather together to give thanks and hear more about A Rocha UK's exciting future plans from A Rocha UK’s CEO Andy Atkins, and Church Relations Manager Helen Stephens.

This event is part of a series of regional celebrations across England and Wales to mark 10 years of Eco Church and 25 years of A Rocha UK! There are other upcoming events in Chelmsford and Exeter. Eco Church is A Rocha UK’s award scheme for churches in England and Wales who know and want to demonstrate that the Gospel is good news for God’s earth. We help churches of all denominations evaluate how they are caring for God's creation across five categories of church life and provide resources for them to take action. Helpful travel information

Local buses are frequent and stop about 10mins walk away. Bus routes 75 and 80 stop at Princes Park, Croxteth Road / Sefton Park Road. Bus routes 82 and 82A stop at Dingle, Aigburth Road / Ullet Road. Bus route 60 stops on Ullet Road and is useful for local travellers. Nearest Train station: St Michaels Station (20mins walk away) served by the local Mersey rail train service from Liverpool Central station. Many of the station stops also have car parking options. Car parking

Christ Church Toxteth Park is located in a residential area with limited on-street car parking spaces available. The nearest parking (10-15mins walk away) is at Sefton Park, which has some free parking, but can get busy on a Saturday. There are a number of parking points around Sefton Park and some on-street parking. For further car parking information, visit Liverpool City Council car parking webpage (https://liverpool.gov.uk/parking-roads-and-travel/find-parking/). Alternatively, use the free park and ride service from Merseyrail (https://www.merseyrail.org/journey-planning/getting-to-our-stations/car/) (but you need to buy a rail ticket to St Michael's Station).
