Golden Thread Professional Networking and Collaboration Event

One Knowsley is bringing together professionals, organisations and practitioners from across the Liverpool City Region to explore Heritage in Knowsley and the role it can play in strengthening communities, celebrating local identity and engaging residents.

This networking and learning event is designed to connect organisations with established heritage, arts and cultural expertise to grassroots community organisations whose work may already touch on heritage themes, even if they do not identify as heritage organisations.

By creating space for dialogue, shared learning and collaboration, we aim to help organisations learn from one another, build new relationships and explore how heritage can be woven into a wide range of community activity and services.

The session will introduce the Golden Thread approach to heritage, exploring how history, culture and community identity run through our organisations, places and communities, often in ways we do not always recognise.

Participants will have the opportunity to share their own experiences, hear from heritage professionals and consider how heritage approaches can support their organisational aims and community priorities.

The workshop will also showcase training, resources and opportunities to collaborate, helping organisations to develop ideas, access expertise and build partnerships that can lead to new heritage projects and activities across Knowsley.
