A slightly more in depth class over three and a half hours, we will cover watercolour fundamentals before working on a painting together.

Join Andrea for this fun and informative watercolour class which is perfect for beginners or those wanting to progress their painting practice. You will receive step by step guidance, all materials are included, biscuits will be available and the kettle will be on!

Overview:

This session is a little longer than our previous workshops to give us time to practice the fundamentals of watercolour in greater depth. We will spend some time discussing materials and equipment before some hands on exploration of the paint and mark making. We will then work on a painting of the famous Liverpool Waterfront together. Each excercise and the stages of the painting will be fully demonstrated and you can ask as many questions as you like.

Andrea Stables is a professional artist and illustrator who teaches painting classes and workshops at Liverpool Independent Art School. She regularly exhibits her work and has featured on Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year.
