The Wirral Sports Awards 2026 are back!

Join us on Wednesday 25th November at Hulme Hall, Port Sunlight, from 6.30pm, for an evening celebrating the very best of sport across Wirral.

Every year, sport in Wirral is kept going by people who go above and beyond. There are volunteers who give up their weekends, coaches who inspire the next generation, and teams, clubs and schools who bring their communities together. The Wirral Sports Awards are our chance to say thank you and to recognise their achievements.

This year there are 16 award categories:

Sports Volunteer of the Year

Young Sports Volunteer of the Year

Community Impact: Organisation of the Year

Community Impact: Individual of the Year

Junior Team of the Year

Senior Team of the Year

Primary School Sports Team of the Year

Secondary School Girls Team of the Year

Secondary School Boys Team of the Year

School Sports Department of the Year

Sports Club of the Year

Coach of the Year

Sports Entrepreneur of the Year

Young Sports Person of the Year

Lifetime Achievement Award

Special Recognition Award

The awards recognise achievements between 1st August 2025 and 31st August 2026.

Tickets

Tickets are £20 each and include dinner. The Wirral Sports Awards is a not-for-profit event, so every penny from ticket sales goes towards covering the cost of the evening.
