About A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol returns to The Old Vic in Matthew Warchus’ stage production of Charles Dickens’ festive classic, adapted by Jack Thorne. The show is presented with a unique staging that immerses the audience in London’s longest running adaptation of this story.

Set against mince pies, music and merriment, the production brings Scrooge’s story to the stage in a form designed for the auditorium. It is a return of the production rather than a new interpretation, with Dickens’ original tale at its centre.

The adaptation is by Jack Thorne, whose credits include Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and His Dark Materials.
