A cornerstone of UK roots reggae, Black Roots bring their deep, conscious sound to the stage. Formed in 1979, the Bristol outfit quickly became a defining voice of the early ’80s scene, with lyrics that spoke directly to the social and political tensions of the time. Their uncompromising approach and unmistakable sound earned them a loyal following across the UK and Europe. After years out of the spotlight, a surge of fan support sparked their return, with new releases proving their voice is as urgent as ever. Decades on, Black Roots remain as vital as ever—delivering roots reggae at its most authentic, powerful and unfiltered.
