Brutalist Portraiture Workshop with Róża Wiktoria, a daylong session in raw brutalist architecture, is set for 18 October 2026 at 08:00 at The Brunswick Centre in London. The event costs £195.72.
Cinematic portraiture in raw brutalist architecture. A small-group day with editorial photographer and Nikon Creator Róża Wiktoria.
Location Portraiture Workshop with Róża Wiktoria 9:00am - 2:00pm
5h of cinematic portraiture set within the raw geometry of one of London's most striking brutalist landmarks. Completed in 1972, the Brunswick Centre is a Grade II-listed modernist icon, its repeating concrete terraces and dramatic sightlines making it one of the city's most photogenic architectural spaces.
We'll use the building's bold lines, light and shadow as a stage for composition-led portraits, working with the interplay of concrete and figure. The focus is on restraint: minimalist styling, clean framing, and the quiet, filmic tension of a still pulled from a film. You'll learn to read an architectural space, place a subject within it, and build images where architecture and person speak together rather than compete.
Working with a professional model and a small group kept to just 8, you'll shoot alongside me as I share the composition and direction techniques I use for my editorial and commercial work. The intimate group size means real time and attention for everyone. The workshop is open to all camera brands.
Meeting point
We'll meet at The Brunswick Centre, Bernard Street, London WC1N 1BS. Exact meeting spot (and what to bring) will be sent by email a couple of days before the workshop.
