Building a Brand People Remember

Ready to build a brand people remember? 👀

Join us in person at Virgin StartUp HQ on 27th October for a fun, interactive afternoon exploring what it really takes to build a standout, culturally relevant brand.

Virgin knows a thing or two about building brands that stick. So, we’re bringing together some brilliant people who have done exactly that to share what they’ve learned along the way.

We’ll kick things off with Sam Kelly, Virgin’s Chief Experience Officer, sharing the Virgin story and why staying culturally relevant has always been part of our DNA.

Then, we’ll hear from Georgie Coleridge Cole, Founder of SHEERLUXE, and Steve Hewitt, former CEO of Gymshark, as they explore what it takes to build brands that connect with people, stay relevant and stand the test of time.

After a break for some light lunch and drinks, we’ll turn our attention to creativity with Alexei Hamblin, Creative Director at Slazenger, who is helping bring a fresh, culturally relevant perspective to a heritage brand.

Why now?

27th October marks National Mentoring Day and mentoring is our bread and butter at Virgin StartUp. (https://community.virginstartup.org/)

We know how important it is for founders to have the right support at the right time. So, for two weeks, we’re levelling up our mentoring offer and bringing our community access to the people behind some of the brands shaping culture today, including GRIND, Childs Farm, TOSS, SURREAL, Timothy Armoo and many more.

The campaign will give founders the chance to learn directly from experienced leaders, get fresh perspectives and ask the questions that matter to their business (you can sign up and get involved in our wider campaign here (https://community.virginstartup.org/)).

And this event is the big finale.

One afternoon. Brilliant people. Real stories. Plenty of inspiration.

Come along to hear how some of the people behind memorable brands think about culture, creativity and staying relevant, and leave with a few ideas for building a brand people won’t forget.
