Artists Tarrah Krajnak and Koyoltzintli present an artist talk about Indigenous feminism and photography at Autograph in London on 8 October 2026. Their practices explore the body and land as sites of history and memory. Tickets are priced between £5.00 and £10.00.
What does it mean for a body to carry a history? Join us at Autograph for this special artist talk.
Artists Tarrah Krajnak and Koyoltzintli use photography to resist the erasure of Indigenous, feminist bodies – creating images that carry personal and ancestral memory across generations.
Born in Lima and adopted by a white working-class American family, Tarrah Krajnak explores the gaps in her personal history against the backdrop of Peru’s political upheaval, using archival photographs to imagine a past that remains fragmented and unresolved. Koyoltzintli reflects on how Indigenous origin stories and cultural traditions sustain connection across generations, considering the land as a living relation between memory, ceremony and ancestry. Their practices meet in a concern with the body and land as sites where histories, unearthed and unearthing, take on new meaning as they return.
Join us in the gallery as Tarrah Krajnak and Koyoltzintli come together in London to reflect on their work and practices. Surrounded by their works in Autograph’s new exhibition Our Bodies Have Been Bridges (https://autograph.org.uk/exhibitions/our-bodies-have-been-bridges), the conversation will open up intersecting perspectives on indigenous, diasporic feminist practices – affirming both the body and memory as active, generative forces.
Chaired by Bindi Vora, curator of Our Bodies Have Been Bridges.
The ticket price for this event is £5. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. If this ticket price is unaffordable for you, please get in touch with Ishy at Ishy@autograph-abp.co.uk about free ticketing options.
