About This Event

CASH The American Recordings, led by the gravel-voiced Henry Wagons, pays homage to Johnny Cash’s seminal American Recordings series at The Grace on 29 May 2027. The performance distils the Man in Black’s later catalogue to its raw, sparse core, with Wagons’ baritone and acoustic guitar bearing the weight of songs such as ‘Hurt’ and ‘The Beast in Me’. A modest backing band adds subtle textures of harmonica and upright bass, conjuring the hushed intimacy of Cash’s own living-room sessions. The venue’s low-lit, wood-panelled interior complements the mood, allowing the music to breathe in the quiet between notes. Tickets are priced at £25.31, with doors opening at 6pm.
