A Batik Lamp Workshop will take place at Battersea Power Station on 12 and 13 September 2026. The workshop runs in two sessions per day in the Turbine Hall A, Level One, with ticket prices available on the website.

Join our hands-on Batik Lamp Making Workshop, a unique experience that blends traditional art with modern design. Perfect for art lovers, beginners, and anyone seeking a mindful creative escape. What You’ll Experience: – Learn about the history of batik, how it is made, and the tools & materials needed for batik canting – Experiment with mixing colours to produce the right tone and shade – Paint on pre-waxed batik and transform your finished batik art into a custom lamp to take home — a glowing piece of your creativity! – Get tips and tricks from a batik artist – Enjoy a fun, relaxing atmosphere with all materials and tools provided. Workshop details: Duration: 1.5 hour · Suitable for age 5 and above · All materials provided · No experience needed Take Home: Your very own handmade batik lamp, a one-of-a-kind piece that brings warmth, culture, and personality to your home. *Please note: Children aged 8+ can attend but must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult.*
