Join us for a discussion of Charlie Kaufman’s Synecdoche, New York (2008), his directorial debut starring Philip Seymour Hoffman. The film won the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature and was nominated for the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival. This is a discussion, not a lecture or debate. You don't need any background in film studies, just watch the movie beforehand and come ready to share your thoughts, listen to others, and engage with the ideas the film raises. Whether you've seen it many times or are watching it for the first time, you're welcome. The most interesting conversations come from a variety of perspectives. To help us keep the conversation engaging, space is limited. Please RSVP only if you genuinely plan to join us. **No show policy**: If you RSVP but don't attend, please cancel your spot beforehand so someone else can take it. Two no shows without cancelling will result in a ban from future events. Looking forward to seeing you, Faheem **Deeper Conversations** We have a mission at Deeper Conversations to improve the quality of people's lives through conversation.
