About This Event

Dina Ögon returns with their most expansive work to date. Catch them live at Hootananny on October 10. The Stockholm-based band is known for its distinctive blend of soul, jazz, indie pop, and Scandinavian folk, combining intimate songwriting, rich arrangements, and a warm, instantly recognizable sound. With their fourth album, Människobarn, the band takes a clear step forward. While their previous releases often felt concise and fleeting, this double album invites listeners to immerse themselves from beginning to end. At a time when standalone singles dominate, Dina Ögon deliberately embraces the album as a complete listening experience. Lyrically, the focus turns inward. Vocalist Anna Ahnlund explores relationships, life, and loss with greater intimacy. The songs move between euphoria and melancholy, drawing their strength from a deeply personal perspective while never losing sight of the world beyond. Musically, the band sounds more confident and unmistakably their own. Where earlier records explored a range of influences, Människobarn feels like the place where everything comes together. Soulful grooves, layered instrumentation, and occasional darker undertones merge into a cohesive and unmistakable sound. The band's growth is evident both in the songwriting and the storytelling, with subtle flashes of humor woven through heavier themes. Tracks such as "Dålig teve," "Margaretas sång," "Människobarn," "Hack i häl," and "Du tappa dä" showcase the album's breadth, though its true strength lies in experiencing it as a whole.
