FM – Celebrating 40 Years of Indiscreet

British melodic rock icons FM are performing shows to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their legendary debut album Indiscreet — originally released in 1986. The album that first introduced the band’s soaring melodies, anthemic choruses, and unmistakable style remains a cornerstone of the UK rock scene, and these special shows promise to be a true celebration of four decades of music.

Formed in the mid-’80s by brothers Steve and Chris Overland, FM quickly became one of Britain’s most enduring and respected rock bands, earning acclaim for their powerful live performances and chart-topping releases. Today’s line-up — Steve Overland (vocals), Merv Goldsworthy (bass), Pete Jupp (drums), Jem Davis (keyboards) and Jim Kirkpatrick (guitar) — continues to embody the band’s signature blend of melody and muscle.

“From our meeting in a Notting Hill pub in 1984 to our ‘one-off’ comeback gig at Firefest 2007, it’s amazing to still be doing this,” says drummer Pete Jupp. “Who’d have thought we’d reach such a milestone — and still be rocking harder than ever!”

Joining FM as special guests are Tygers of Pan Tang, one of the original and most respected bands to emerge from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal.

Led throughout by founding guitarist Robb Weir, the Tygers continue to fly the flag for classic British metal with a line-up that many regard as their strongest in decades. Blending fan favourites from their influential early albums with acclaimed newer material, they remain a formidable live band, touring across Europe and South America and continuing to record new music.

With a legacy that includes helping launch the career of John Sykes, and a catalogue spanning more than four decades, Tygers of Pan Tang are the perfect addition to an unforgettable night of classic rock.
