A creative and practical workshop exploring the natural ingredients on your doorstep, and themes of food security and resilience.

This workshop invites participants to explore the local landscape through foraging, shared food and creative making. Together we will discover the edible plants of Camden, reflect on food accessibility and transform natural materials in to creative expressions.

We will begin with a foraging walk around Camden led by Andy, a foraging and sustainable food expert from Silo restaurant. Participants will identify edible plants and use coloured stickers to colllaborate on a shared map - creating a shared knowledge resource. Following the walk you will enjoy a picnic featuring foraged ingredients. Andy will introduce simple recipes and discuss food insecurity, sustainability and the potential of overlooked resources. This is a chance for exchanging stories, experiences and ideas around food and community.

The workshop will conclude with a hands on making session led by STORE Projects, weaving your own small forager's basket using weeds, grasses and other natural fibrs collected during the walk.

This workshop is part of Camden Inspire 2026, a festival of creative workshops, talks and activities exploring how our communities can come together to build a fairer, healthier and more resilient future in a changing climate.
