About the walk

Join EFHT Trustee Abi for a guided fungi themed walk in Lords Bushes and Knighton Wood in Epping Forest, exploring fantastic fungi in the ancient woodland and getting to know their roles and importance in an ecosystem.

This is NOT a foraging walk. Foraging in Epping Forest is not allowed.

What to bring / wear

Bring water, snacks, lunch.

Weather appropriate clothing

Weather proof and study footware as some parts can be muddy and slippery

It will take about 20 mins walking from the station to Lords Bushes / Knighton Wood from the station. There are public toilets in the station

There will be frequent stops as we discover and hear information about the fungi we find

We will bring some ID books and field guides. If you have any copies, feel free to bring as well

The finishing time is an estimation. Actual time depends on the condition of the day and the amount of fungi we find
