Cold weather, hot Grafana talks! Agenda: 18:00-18:30 - welcome, food and networking 18:30-19:10 - **Taking Out Run from the Arcade into Grafana with OpenTelemetry** by **Simon Prickett,** Senior Developer Advocate at Grafana Labs Observability isn’t just for infrastructure! Simon will demonstrate how he instrumented the classic ’80s arcade driving game **Out Run** using the OpenTelemetry SDK for C++. Follow the journey from capturing traces, logs, and screenshots in Tempo and Loki to exploring the results in Grafana dashboards, including the new GraphViz panel for data-driven diagrams. Aspiring racers can take the wheel during networking, with Grafana helping us crown champions for the highest score, most overtakes, and longest clean driving streak. 19:10-19:20 break 19:20-20:00 **Collecting high quality distributed traces** by **Paulin Todev**, Senior Software Engineer at Grafana Labs. Distributed traces are difficult to instrument and collect. In this talk we will go through the most common problems and how you can detect and prevent them using open source software.
