About Harry Potter and The Cursed Child

Harry Potter and The Cursed Child at the Palace Theatre is a new play by Jack Thorne, based on an original story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany. First premiered in London’s West End in summer 2016, it follows Harry, Ron and Hermione 19 years after they saved the wizarding world, alongside a new generation at Hogwarts.

The production is the most awarded play in history and the most awarded West End play in the history of the Olivier Awards, with a record-breaking nine wins in 2017 including Best New Play and Best Director.

The story brings together spells, time travel and a battle against mysterious forces as Harry grapples with a past that will not stay where it belongs, while Albus faces the weight of a family legacy he never wanted.

Duration: 2 hours, 55 minutes, including one 20-minute interval. Recommended age: 8+.

Before you book

Harry Potter and The Cursed Child is recommended for children aged 8+. All persons entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket. Children under 5 are not permitted, babes in arms are not admitted to the auditorium, and patrons under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
