Hexmoor: London's Fantasy Prison
Experience, with Cocktails
You've been convicted of dark magic.
Tonight you serve your sentence at Hexmoor Penitentiary, the most
secure prison in the magical realm, hidden beneath Hackney Road.
The guards hand you a jumpsuit at the door, lock you in a cell and
dose you with potions to keep your magic down. Then the walls start
talking.
Hexmoor is immersive theatre with live actors and three cocktails
included. The show runs for 1 hour 45 minutes, and it's as funny as
it is dramatic.
YOUR SENTENCE:
A hidden realm of
magic sits alongside our own. Commit an ordinary crime and you end
up in Alcotraz. Commit a crime of dark magic and you end up
here.
Inmates have been vanishing from their cells for two months. A
prophecy says the thing this prison was built to hold is coming
back at midnight. The High Constable insists everything is under
control, and nobody in the cell block believes her.
Somewhere in your cell is a wand. Its light shows the messages the
missing prisoners left on the walls, and those messages point to
the High Constable's private vault. Work with the inmates to break
in, decide which of the staff is secretly serving the enemy, and be
in the cell block when the clock strikes twelve.
You'll share the night with a governor who introduces herself with
a list of her own magazine awards, a guard who deals contraband and
is bored of everyone, and a non-magical exchange worker from
Indianapolis who badly wants to tell you about the zoo. Talk to
them, bargain with them, play along. The more you give the cast,
the more you get back.
THE POTIONS:
Your three cocktails are the
prison's suppressant potions, mixed by its resident hexologists and
dosed to hold an inmate's magic down. Each one changes in front of
you.
Tickets:
The Apprentice, from
£44.50
The full show, a cell for the length of your sentence, your
jumpsuit and three potion cocktails.
The Enchanter, from £57.00
Everything in the Apprentice, plus a fourth shimmering cocktail and
your own Wizard's Licence to take home.
The Sorcerer, from £80.00
Everything in the Enchanter, plus a one-of-one wand made for you
and handed over during the show.
Prices shown are off-peak.

Hexmoor: The Longest Night (Christmas Special)
3 November to 10
January, Tuesday to Sunday
For midwinter, the prison keeps its own observance. The Longest
Night is Hexmoor reworked for the darkest stretch of the year: the
same cell block, the same inmates and the same threat at midnight,
with [one-line story hook from the synopsis]. Every cell gets a
lantern.
The Longest Night replaces the regular show for the whole run, so
every booking between 3 November and 10 January is for the winter
production.
The Apprentice, from £48
The full winter show, your cell, your jumpsuit and three potion
cocktails.
The Winter Enchanter, from £61
Everything in the Apprentice, plus a festive cocktail and a Hexmoor
tin candle to take home.
The Sorcerer, from £84
Everything in the Winter Enchanter, plus a handcrafted wooden wand
to keep.
