How the brain shapes behaviour: why we think, feel and react the way we do will be held on 26 October 2026 at The Trafalgar Public House in London. This workshop will explore the neuroscience behind human behaviour and emotions, featuring discussions led by Bruna De Palo. Attendees can expect a combination of conversation, Q&A, and networking opportunities.
Welcome to The Shift - from Human Doings to Human Beings.
Ever wondered why we do what we do, even when we know better? Or why intelligent people sometimes behave so irrationally?
Join us for a fascinating evening of brain discoveries, thought-provoking conversations and interesting people to meet, all over a glass of wine at one of Chelsea's most charming venues.
Once a month, we gather at The Trafalgar Pub to explore how our brains shape our behaviour, emotions, relationships and everyday lives.
Each evening, expect a lively combination of conversation, Q&A, drinks and nibbles, with Bruna De Palo in conversation with Lusiana Graham.
Bruna De Palo is a neuroscience-based coach and author of The Brain Instruction Manual for Leaders: What nobody told you about working with humans (Hachette, 2026), recognised by Thinkers50 as a Global Top 50 Executive Coach.
For this first evening, we'll explore why we think, feel and react the way we do, and how understanding our own brain can make life easier, at work and at home.
Become part of a warm, intellectually stimulating Chelsea circle of curious minds who enjoy thinking deeply, questioning assumptions and exchanging ideas – a space to shift your focus from doing to being.
Limited places to keep the evening intimate

Here's how each evening unfolds:
---> 6:30 pm – Arrive, settle in, connect
Doors open. Grab a drink*, mingle and ease into the evening.
---> 7:00 pm – The conversation begins
Lusiana and Bruna explore the evening’s theme through neuroscience, stories and real-life examples.
---> 7:30 pm – Your turn
Open Q&A, genuine questions and different perspectives from the room.
---> 8:15 pm – Keep the conversation going
The formal part ends, but the evening doesn’t. Stay for drinks, food and more conversation with the Chelsea circle.
---> 9:00 pm – Until next time
We wrap up for the evening, hopefully with new connections and plenty to think about.
*£25 includes a drink and nibbles. Choose from a glass of house wine, Prosecco, a pint of beer or a soft drink.
Come straight from work and make yourself comfortable! You're welcome to order dinner from the pub and enjoy it during the talk.
And there's a little surprise too! Take home a thought-provoking Power Line card inspired by Bruna's book, and you might even pick a golden card and win a special gift!

What people say about Bruna's talks
You have such a gift for presenting ideas in a way that feels fresh, intuitive and genuinely useful. I had several “of course, that makes so much sense” moments listening to you, and so much of what you said resonated.
Sasha Ozmen, Interior Designer

Your reflections on the intersection of artificial intelligence, neuroscience and leadership, were truly fascinating and offered so much food for thought. Thank you for such an inspiring contribution, you are an exceptional speaker!
