About This Event

The seminar 'How To Properly Pray Tahajjud' will take place on 30 October 2026 at the London Muslim Centre. Led by Shaykh Kauther Ali, the event aims to teach participants how to pray Tahajjud effectively and develop a consistent night prayer routine. The seminar is open to both men and women and is free to attend.

Free Seminar - Learn how to pray Tahajjud properly, make powerful du‘a, and build a consistent night prayer routine with Shaykh Kauther Ali.

Join us for How to Properly Pray Tahajjud, a practical and inspiring seminar with Shaykh Kauther Ali, open to both men and women.

As the days grow shorter and the nights become longer, this is one of the best times of the year to build a consistent Tahajjud routine. For many of us, however, the intention is there but the habit is not. We struggle to wake up, we are unsure how Tahajjud should actually be prayed, or we make du‘a but feel uncertain about how to make the most of those precious moments in the last part of the night.

This seminar will help you understand Tahajjud as more than an occasional extra prayer. You will learn how to use it as a powerful act of worship when you are asking Allah for something serious — whether that is guidance, relief from hardship, a breakthrough, marriage, family matters, provision, forgiveness, or a decision weighing heavily on your heart.

You’ll leave with a clear understanding of how to pray Tahajjud correctly, when the best time is to pray it, and how to structure your prayer and du‘a with greater purpose. You’ll also learn practical ways to overcome common barriers such as struggling to wake up, losing consistency after a few days, and not knowing what to say or ask for once you are standing before Allah.

If you have been meaning to start Tahajjud, return to it, or make it a serious part of your du‘a and spiritual life, this seminar is for you.

The Teacher: This seminar will be delivered by the incredible Shaykh Kauther Ali with his uplifting and engaging teaching style. Shaykh Kauther is incredibly passionate about the Qur’an and he has delivered Tafsir seminars and lectures around the UK for many years. Shaykh Kauther Ali also regularly leads international tour groups for visits to Al-Aqsa, Makkah and Madinah.

*** IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PLEASE READ ***

Attending With Children: Due to the nature of the seminar, it can be quite frustrating for young children, therefore we advise that you do not attending with children or babies younger than the age of 7 years old. If you do attend with young children of any age, please keep them with you at all times. If your child becomes restless and makes a lot of noise which disturbs other attendees or the teacher, we will regretably have to ask you to leave.

Seating Arrangments: Seating will be segregated.

Seating is on a first come first served basis. As this is a free event, we will need to register more attendees than we can acutally seat in the venue. The reason we need to do this is because at least 2/3 of the people who register to attend free Islamic seminars and events usually drop out and don't attend on the day. If you want to ensure you have a seat at the event, we strongly advise that you turn up on time. Once the venue has reached maximum capacity we will not be able to let you enter, even if you have family or friends inside already.

Food And Refreshments: You are welcome to bring your own food, snacks and drink with you, we will also try to have some available for purchase but can not gaurantee this.

Salah Arrangments: Women can pray in the Maryam Centre and men can pray in the main hall of the East London Mosque. Please do not pray inside the seminar hall.

Fundraising: This event is being organised by the charity ILM (International Learning Movement) in order to support the work they do around the world there will be a short fundraising segment.

EVENT RULES:

1. Strictly no video or audio recording is allowed.

2. Seating will be segregated and is on a first-come, first-served basis.

3. Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry or evict any individual or group at any time at the organisers discretion.
