About Into The Woods

Into The Woods at 85-88 St Martin's Lane, London is Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s musical, fresh from a critically acclaimed run at The Bridge Theatre and now transferring to the West End. Directed by Jordan Fein, with set and costume design by Tom Scutt, this production follows the Baker and his wife, a Witch with a curse, a boy and his cow, a girl in a red cloak, a maiden with long flowing hair and a servant covered in cinders as they journey into the woods.

As the stories intertwine, wishes are made, slippers are lost, beanstalks take flight and new friendships are forged. The show explores what happens after the familiar fairytale ending, with magic, darkness and the idea of life beyond “Happily ever after”.

Before you book

Everyone, regardless of age, must have their own ticket to enter the theatre. Children under 16 must be accompanied by, and sit next to, a ticket holder aged 18 or over. Children under 3 will not be admitted.

Latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable break in the performance. This production contains haze, loud noises, flashing lights, strobe effects and periods of absolute darkness in the auditorium.
