Two years ago Real Ice gave a talk in Balham on the idea of ice thickening. Fast forward two years and they are coming back to update us!

Two years ago, when Real Ice CEO Andrea Ceccolini gave a talk at Battersea Arts Centre, Real Ice (https://www.realice.eco) was still very much a start-up and their idea of ice thickening – encouraging the natural process of Arctic sea ice generation – was in its early stages. Since then Real Ice has collaborated with Inuit co-researchers in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut, engineers, climate scientists, and academic and research institutions worldwide. The trials they have been conducting each winter and spring look promising. In this coming talk, Andrea Ceccolini and Simon Woods will update us on what has happened in the last two years and what the trial results indicate for the future of this type of research.
