A informal wander from Peckham to Bermondsey. Less scripted, less planned, more friendly, more spontaneous
This year there are four Summer Strolls – North, South, East and West.
This series of longer yet cheaper walks are friendly gatherings that offer more scope for chats and questions along the way because, whilst Jane will be stopping here and there to share her knowledge and point out places of interest, these are not scripted/planned routes, but linear strolls from A to B that allow us to discover new and interesting things together, whether archictectural, historical or quirky.
The routes are all appox 4.5 miles long with a refreshment break mid-way*
This South London route starts near Peckham's award-winning library and meanders its way northwards through parks and old high streets, past terraced residential streets such as Reverdy Road and an impressive bandstand to the River Thames at Bermondsey Wall affording marvellous views back to London Bridge and central London. It's a walk of contrasts showcasing the how this part of Southwark has evolved and/or survived.

You can leave the tour at any time.
Or you might wish to join us at lunchtime – please make this clear via email after ticket purchase – details of the mid-way meeting point will be supplied by return email

Customer feedback: "We love your tours Jane and really enjoy these longer walks" / "Jane, you have become my favourite guide – I will keep coming back for more!!" / "We always look forward to your Winter Twixtmas walks because you've taken us down roads we would never have thought to explore before – it's nice to be able to do that together and we can boast that we were there when Jane found something for the first time, ha ha!" / "...so engaging, thanks to your delivery style and obvious thirst for knowledge" / More feedback here
My guiding style is inclusive, open and friendly. I design and research every tour myself – in fact, the research never ends. The walks and talks I offer are all on subjects that intrigue me and each one highlights a different facet of my personality. I am particularly interested in the architecture of our ever-changing streets and the little details on and above them. For more information, please visit www.janeslondonwalks.com
