Part of the 2026 EFG London Jazz Festival, this special double bill brings together gypsy jazz classics from Trio Manouche and genre bending

Old Skool Meets New Wave: World class Gypsy Jazz Trio Manouche kick off the evening with a highly atmospheric mix of swing classics. Featuring band leader Harris on guitar and vocals along with legendary guitarist Giulio Romano and the Cornish bass wizard Marcus Penrose, they will be performing inspired re-worked classics of the great Gypsy jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt together with ambient arrangements of trad swing greats such as Nat King Cole. “Trio Manouche are a class act …. great soulful swing delivered with wry humour …..” – Suzy Klein BBC Radio 3.

The second half of this intriguing double bill introduces the new, amazing Capitano Cartel (Versione Fantastico) hosted by Capitano himself Simon Harris, featuring brand new original compositions pushing beyond the boundaries of jazz, blues Country & Latin in an exciting blend of new, fresh musical flavours. With Simon on vocals and trumpet, Giulio Romano on lead guitar and Marcus Penrose on bass the Cartel will also include the godfather of groove, Dave Kelbie on rhythm guitar and the percussive maestro Jack Bebington on drums. The evening will round up with all the musicians performing a grand finale of swing classics performed in their own very singular style.
