About This Event

Lake District Photo Tour is an 8-day, 7-night small-group landscape photography holiday guided by Dion Hitchcock of UK Photo Tours. This is Tour 2, departing Monday 9th and returning Monday 16th November 2026, collecting from Euston Tower in central London at 9am and returning there between 6 and 7pm on the final day. Max 5 photographers. We're based in a cottage in Keswick for the week and shoot to the conditions: sunrise reflections on Ullswater and Aira Force waterfall, the jetties and Catbells views at Derwent Water, Buttermere and its lone tree, misty mornings on the River Brathay in the Great Langdale Valley, and Lowther Castle or Castlerigg Stone Circle depending on the light. A full flexible day is built into the itinerary so we can chase the best weather rather than stick to a fixed schedule. Mid-November brings low raking light and the first proper winter mood on the fells. Included: return transport from central London, 7 nights' cottage accommodation with en-suite bathrooms, expert tuition throughout, in-vehicle battery charging, and Kase Wolverine filter kits plus backup cameras, lenses and tripods to borrow. The cottage is self-catering, so meals aren't included, and Keswick has plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops within walking distance. Suitable for all abilities, complete beginners to experienced photographers.
