The LDNUG November 2026 meetup takes place on 3 November 2026 at the Dojo in London. Ana Rodrigues and David Whitney will deliver talks about personal web projects and other topics respectively. Attendees can expect food, drinks, and opportunities to network with fellow participants.
Our next meetup will be on November 3rd at Dojo's canalside offices in the Brunel Building, right next to Paddington Station. We've got two fantastic talks lined up from two awesome speakers, plus food, drinks, plenty of time to chat & network with fellow attendees, and quite probably a drink or two at the pub afterwards. **Ana Rodrigues: I Spared No Expense** A talk about the projects I built for my own tiny corner of the web that I did not need, that nobody asked for, and that I built anyway despite my bank account telling me not to. Some of them still work. All of them have a story. No expense was spared. For anyone who loves personal websites, silly side projects, and tech built for the joy of it rather than the job of it. There's code on screen throughout, but the real point is a nudge to remember that programming can be a hobby, not just a career. **Ana** works as a front-end developer for the agency Hactar. She started coding as a teenager building fan sites, and has been working as a front-end developer for the last 13 years. Nowadays, Ana spends most of her free time experimenting on her personal blog and is particularly interested in ethics, IndieWeb, sustainability, plants, cooking, privacy and all things CSS. **David Whitney: Why not both? Bringing Modern Web Development to .NET** This talk is about the process of building three "what if" experiments that turned into a real projects to bring popular libraries, languages and tools to the .NET ecosystem. * JsxCore - Native .NET bindings for ASP.NET MVC and React and JSX. * AstroSharp - C# support for the popular Astro Static site builder * TsxCore - a TypeScript compiler that targets MSIL and the CLR that compiles Typescript programs to native .NET We'll cover how these seemingly impossible projects work, how they were designed, and why picking the best tool for the job sometimes takes you to really weird places. A fun deep dive where you'll learn how to bridge seemingly incompatible platforms, build frame
