Easy-paced social ride on circular route via Charlton house and Shrewsbury Park. Lots to see and a coffee stop.. All welcome.

Meet 10am at Cutty Sark, next to the Tunnel entrance. Finish back at Cutty Sark at 1.30pm. Easy-paced ride mostly on quiet streets or Cycleways. Leader Mike K. sets out the route as follows:

• Ride across Greenwich Park.

• Visit Charlton House and Park.

• Stop at Woolwich Barracks.

• Pass Plumstead Common, the Slade, and Winns Common.

• Explore Rockcliffe Gardens and the old Woolwich Cemetery.

• Ride to Shrewsbury Park.

• Descend to Woolwich for coffee.

• Return to Greenwich via Woolwich Road.

Riders of all ages are welcome on Southwark Healthy Rides but under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Same for “adults at risk”. Always give way to pedestrians and to other cyclists so all path users feel safe. If you cannot make a ride, please cancel so that someone else can take the place. Remember finish times are approximate and it is best not to schedule something immediately after the ride; give yourself an allowance for mechanical or other problems on the ride.
