We’re pleased to announce that we’re introducing “Formulating with Surfactants and the NPD Pathway,” a new two-day training course.
WHY ATTEND
This course provides a practical introduction to surfactants and formulation, delivered by an experienced formulator with over 40 years in the industry. It also offers the opportunity to network with delegates from raw material suppliers and formulation companies, and to discuss current technical issues.
COURSE OUTLINE
The course is pragmatic in its approach and uses examples from industry experience, with minimal mathematical theory. No prior knowledge of surfactants is required.
The course will cover:
A review of surfactant types, their benefits, and common challenges
An introduction to surface/interfaces and how these interact with surfactants
Discussion of foams, emulsions & detergency
The New Product Development Pathway - this takes a holistic whole company approach to identify where product development fits into the process and the importance of having a well written project brief.
Consideration of regulations, including why CLP must be considered during product development
Worked examples
WHO WILL BENEFIT
The course is suitable for those new to formulation or the surfactants industry, as well as colleagues in sales, marketing and production who would like a better understanding of product formulation and development.
COURSE LEADER
Dr Jim Taylour is the Director of Chemical Consulting Solutions and has over 40 years of experience leading R&D departments for both UK and multinational companies.
