About This Event

The Let's Create for Black History Month workshop at Poplar Union offers a hands-on collage experience focused on music, memory, and identity. Participants will create unique artwork inspired by personal stories and cultural influences. All materials are provided, and no previous experience is necessary.

Celebrate Black History Month through creativity, conversation and self-expression. Join us aboard Jena for a hands-on collage workshop exploring the themes of music, memory and identity. Inspired by the stories, experiences and cultural influences that shape our lives, you'll create your own unique artwork using images, colour and words. This relaxed and welcoming session encourages participants to reflect on the people, places, music and memories that have influenced who they are. No previous experience is required and all materials will be provided. This event forms part of the Let's Create: Black History Month 2026 programme. Interested in attending more sessions?
