Typically Feminism is defined as a belief that men and women are owed the same rights, protections and opportunities in society. To be feminist was once a proud statement of classic liberals. But since then, many different feminist groups have emerged, driven by disagreements over ideology, most sharply on who can be considered a woman. Most third wave feminists share the framework that men as a class are historic oppressors of women as a class. Their goal is to disrupt and dismantle this dynamic, called Patriarchy, and the systems of power that uphold it. What positive aspects of feminism are there?
