We’re pleased to announce that the London Hypoxia Networking (LHN) meeting is returning on 3-4 September 2026 to Imperial College London, and registration is now open. This London Hypoxia Networking (LHN) meeting will introduce attendees to the dynamic and rapidly expanding field of hypoxia research with growing implications ranging from basic molecular biology to vascular homeostasis and medicine. Changes in cellular oxygen trigger a broad array of adaptive responses (both acute and chronic) that have fundamental implications on physiological homeostasis and the pathogenesis of numerous medical conditions. This meeting will bring together hypoxia focused research groups from across the UK and by allowing attendees to disseminate new scientific knowledge, facilitate discussions and form new networks with the emphasis on the critical role of hypoxia in all aspects of biomedical research, and to form new collaborations. Early-confirmed speakers include: Prof Sarah Walmsley, University of Edinburgh Prof James Nathan, University of Cambridge Dr Katie O’Brian, King’s College London Lida Kabir, Imperial College London Dr Brian Ortmann, Newcastle University Dr Thomas Keeley, University of Oxford Andrew Cowburn, Imperial College London Dr Emily Flashman, University of Oxford Dr Katharine Lodge, Imperial College London Prof Ester Hammond, University of Oxford Hudson Coates, University of Cambridge Audience Early-career researchers, clinical academics, students, clinicians, and principal investigators involved in hypoxia research across the UK.
