The London Piano Meetup Group is holding another performance opportunity at the delightful 1901 Arts Club near Waterloo. The venue has a wonderful Steinway C grand piano. The London Piano Meetup Group provides a friendly, supportive environment in which to air full pieces, parts of pieces, ‘works-in-progress’, improvisations, own compositions - anything piano related! Instrumentalists with piano accompaniment are also welcome - to arrange any ensembles or accompanists, please go to the group's facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/LondonPMG ) and post a message there. Time limit for performers: 7 minutes Performing slots available: 15 Doors open: 6.55pm All standards of player (beginners to advanced) are most welcome, especially those who have not attended one of our events before. Nerves when playing in front of other people are normal, regardless of how advanced you are or how long you have been playing, and everyone appreciates the challenges of performing in front of others - there is absolutely no judgement or competitive aspect at LPMG events, only mutual support from fellow performers and audience members. After playing for each other we will head to a local pub/bar to socialise and talk pianos over a beverage or two. There are also some spaces for friends/relatives to come and watch too - or also pianists who just don't want to get up and perform. Please don't arrive early (there are plenty of pubs and cafes nearby to wait if you need, and DO NOT ring the doorbell, either before starting or during performances if you arrive late. The door will be opened periodically between performances to check for latecomers! Admission (and reservation of a performing slot if you wish to perform) is through pre-bought tickets only, we do not sell tickets on the door; there are also no refunds on tickets.
