Have you ever wanted to embrace the scenery of the city during a festive period? If so, this may be the right one for you.

Welcome to the bonfire night event where all of this is possible. Bonfire night originates from 1605 where there was an attempt to infiltrate the house of Parliament and assassinate King James the 1st. The assassin was Guy Fawkes and his attempt failed which led to his demise. Originally, the assassination attempt took place on the 4th of November and the day after was a day to celebrate the kings survival. I’m sure deeper down, there were hidden reasons and hidden truths but I’m sure it’s more of a commercial thing these days.

With this particular event, we’ll start with a short casual walk to Parliament hill in Hampstead Heath. Once we arrive, we’ll not only see the skyline of the city but we may also see people light fireworks amidst the skyline and much more.

After the fireworks, we’ll return back to where we started and finish off at the ‘Oak and Pastor’ if you wish. This pub in particular offers a relaxed homely ambience with the essence of Ireland so you’ll definitely feel right at home.

My fellow explorers, if you enjoyed the event, I’m more than happy to accept any donations which of course are optional but will go a long way to help me unlock and deliver even more exciting and engaging events and resources: https://www.paypal.me/calvinjoy
