Austel is the project of Devon born, London based artist Annie Ren Shaw .After earning acclaim for her 2024 album Dead Sea, she now explores a folkier, guitar led sound inspired by Jon Hopkins,King Creosote and Adrianne Lenker., Austel fuses her background in classical music and songwriting with ambient textures, cinematic soundscapes and contemplative electronica.Having cut her teeth as a session musician performing at Glastonbury Festival, supporting Fleet Foxes, and touring the UK with multiple bands, Austel began collaborating with guitarist, producer and music technologist Adam Stark (MiMU Gloves, Rumour Cubes) - developing her own songs with a fresh lens.<br />Support comes from the Bristol based wordsmith, Martin Callingham.<br />
