Madra Salach will perform at Troxy in London on 9 April 2027. The band, a six-piece contemporary folk group from Dublin, draws inspiration from the Irish traditional canon and the experimental folk scene. They focus on original writing and composition, utilising electronic equipment.
Madra Salach are six of them, out of Dublin?s Northside, most friends since their early teens: Banks on vocals, Lawlor on bass, Adam Cullen on guitar, Jack Martin on mandolin, whistle and synth, Maxime Arnold on harmonium, and Dara Duffy on drums. The name means dirty dog. Gorta is the debut they expect everything after it to be measured against. ?I?m proud of the EP and what it did,? Banks says, ?but I?d like to think that when people talk about this band, they start with this album.?

Line-upMadra Salach
Madra Salach are a six piece contemporary folk band from Dublin. Originally meeting whilst playing in various outfits on the city’s indie scene, their shared love of the Irish traditional canon led to Paul Banks, Adam Cullen, Jack Martin and Dara Duffy quickly forming a bond playing impromptu sessions in pubs around the Northside. Taking inspiration from the growing experimental folk scene in Ireland, Madra Salach began focusing on original writing and composition, utilising electronic equipment.
