The workshop "Make Yourself Heard: How To Communicate With Impact" will take place on 12 November 2026 at We Are Social in London. Participants will learn practical techniques for effective communication at various stages of their careers. The session aims to enhance verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
Join us in person for our annual WYMM event, taking place on the 12th November from 6pm at We Are Social.
This year, we’re getting together to talk about something that matters at every stage of your career: how you communicate and how you show up.
Throughout your career, the language you use and the way you show up in a room will evolve as you communicate with different people, audiences and levels of seniority. But how do you adapt to your audience and make sure you’re heard, while still finding and maintaining your own authentic style?
In this interactive session, we’ll share practical verbal and non-verbal techniques to help you articulate your ideas, build your presence and make yourself heard.
Whether you’re early in your career, stepping into leadership or already well established, you’ll come away with practical tools you can use when presenting work, interviewing, leading meetings or simply speaking up with more confidence — all while communicating in a way that feels authentic to you.
Lead by Gabriela Lungu.
Gabriela is an award-winning, commercially savvy Executive Creative Director based in London.
Gabriela teaches, speaks, writes and consults through WINGS LAB, her creative leadership and training company. She is also a D&AD Masterclass teacher - "Presenting to Win" is her practical, comprehensive masterclass in professional influence, teaching the principles, frameworks and techniques behind powerful presentations.
Passionate about supporting fellow creative and marketing professional women, Gabriela has also been actively involved as a member and/or trainer/mentor with organisations and initiatives including Women in Marketing, G100, SheSays, See It Be It, Creative Equals, etc.
There’ll also be plenty of time to meet other brilliant people from our community, have a drink, eat some pizza and put what you’ve learnt into practice with the support of our mentors.
A few things to note:
We are asking for a small fee towards the event to help support the WYMM community. We are run by a small team of volunteers and the six month programme will continue to be free.
We want the event to be accessible to everyone in our community so if the ticket price would make it difficult to attend, please email us london@shesayswhosyourmomma.com email and we’ll send you a code for a free ticket. No explanation needed.
If you have any accessibility requirements, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate them. The venue is fully accessible.
A photographer will be at the event. By attending, you agree that you may be photographed during the evening.
Our sisters at She Says are also hosting an event a week later on the 19th November at 18:30 called 'Hammer Time' A fundraising auction of prizes, donated by brilliant people from across the creative industries. All proceeds will support SheSays, in supporting the community going forward. It'll be another great opportunity to connect so we're offering a special discounted combo ticket to both events.
